Whose Turn is it? Mug

At that moment - when everyone’s mind has drifted away from the game. You look at each other and...

A typographic tribute to the inevitable mid-game drift and the shared confusion that is as much a part of the evening as the rules themselves.

Perfect for coffee, tea, and those long, long game nights.

About the work

These prints and objects are part of The Society of Play, an ongoing project by artist Mark Hanlon exploring the rituals and language of tabletop gaming.

Around every table the same phrases appear. Small moments of confusion, humour, and negotiation that shape every game night.

Each piece begins as a hand-painted work in the studio before being reproduced as prints and everyday objects.
