Play as Art
The Society of Play transforms discarded tabletop games - found at car boot sales, charity shops, and flea markets - into one-of-one artworks that belong on walls, not shelves.
Alongside the originals, typographic prints and mugs for people who love to play!

TURN YOUR TABLETOP GAMING PASSION INTO WALL ART
Whether it’s a legendary Commander deck, a salvaged vintage board, or a deck of cards that tells your story, The Society of Play transforms your personal history of playing games into 1-of-1 Artworks that can be enjoyed everyday on the wall rather than forgotten on your shelf.
About the artist
The Society of Play is the artistic practice of Mark Hanlon, exploring the fundamental elements of play: attention, connection, tension, and joy.
Using found tabletop games and hand-painted pieces and prints, the work reflects on what happens around a table - thinking together, disagreeing, taking turns, staying present.
