About the work
These prints and objects are part of The Society of Play, an ongoing project by artist Mark Hanlon exploring the rituals and language of tabletop gaming.
Around every table the same phrases appear. Small moments of confusion, humour, and negotiation that shape every game night.
Each piece begins as a hand-painted work in the studio before being reproduced as prints and everyday objects.

Return policy
Every Studio Edition is made-to-order to eliminate overproduction and minimize environmental waste.
Because each print is produced specifically for you, we ask that you verify all dimensions and specifications before finalizing your order.
- Damaged or Incorrect Items: In the event of transit damage or a production error, The Society of Play will provide a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
- Change of Mind: We offer a 14-day return window for unused, undamaged prints in their original packaging.
- Resolution: Our goal is to resolve any issues with efficiency and care. Please contact the studio directly to initiate a return.
